Our Work
Our work is to offer free support to families & owners moving through the death of a companion animal.
We have understood how important that is for families to offer the best and most beautiful farewell to their furry friend. We want to help you create all the necesary conditions for you to offer the most loving and aligned goodbye. One that will be up to the love, the affection and all the time spent together.
We believe that losing an animal companion is a difficult step which needs proper support and help.
We believe that our furry friends deserve to receive as much when passing as the love they gave and meant to us.
We also believe that processing grief connected to the loss of an animal companion requires solid frameworks, healing and services, in a similar way that it is done for humans.
And very importantly, we believe that it's important to take care of our furry friend all the way through.
We Are Offering

Healing support for families and owners (phone or Zoom video calls)
Financial support (to be defined based on Rainbow Pets current possibilities) to help funding burial, cremation and other expenses
Helping you find the right local service/organisation near you that will take care of funerary rituals/cremation in a way that suits you
Special funding & ordering for you of funerary items such as gravestones, funerary urns ... (through our local partners if you're interested)
Support for ceremony/rituals
Our services are donation based. Even a symbolic contribution can help us help more families. If you're interested in our services, you can donate any amount that feels right for you - or receive our services free of charge if donation isn't possible for you at this time. Our desire is to help.

Our Story
Rainbow Pets is a non-profit structure, founded by Sophie Gregoire, in memory of the golden retriever Ducat
When the beloved family dog Ducat disappeared, after several months of fighting against disease, Sophie was profoundly affected and genuinely decided to contribute in a non-profit manner to creating for all families the "most beautiful" farewell for the furry friend.
We are never truly ready to lose our companion animal. And when the time comes, we may have to take decisions in rapid manner regarding which funerary services to choose.
We may not be truly informed, not know what actually exists. We may overwhelmed withn practicalities and just not knowing what to do.
Rainbow Pets aims at providing emotional support, but also material and financial help (based on available ressources). We are there too to help you identify the services which fit your needs.
Through our work, our desire is also to raise awareness about the animal cause. Taking care of our beloved animals until the right ending is also valuing their love and their presence in our lives to a deeper degree. This is also about seeing death as a sacred passage, that we can help assist in the highest way for families and their rainbow beloved pets, through the love, energy and care we can give to those moments of life.
